At first, I made this one.
The fabric is "Farmdale" from Alexander Henry.
Then I made this one. The same beautiful apples, just smaller...
the bag is also smaller,
for a mother-daughter team.
I also had in my stash these big apples, it's "Apple of My Eye"
by Quilted Fish for Riley Blake.
Big apples- big tote!
I added two zippered pockets (one inside and one outside), to keep safe the important stuff.
All three...
just one more picture...
I used many types of interfacing and I learned a lot! Including that Timtex is not fusible! I had to order 10 yds to learn this! It is not that I can't make it fusible or I can't use it...but today I would have needed a fusible Timtex! I finally found a substitute!
More about my interfacing experiment in a future post.
I think I will make one small change then I will write the pattern for these bags.
Enjoy the weekend!

Edited: The pattern for this bag is now available.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the pattern!!
ReplyDeleteI've also created with Timtex and "made it fusible". Love the stiffness, but I will admit I get a bit frustrated when I don't have the right supplies.
ReplyDeleteYour summer bags are very cute. Look very flexible in design to work throughout the seasons, but definitely fun for summer.
